Japanese luxury concept car to debut performance at Goodwood

26 June 2009

Japanese luxury concept car to debut performance at Goodwood Motorsport fans attending the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2009 will be given the chance to get a sneak preview of a new sports car from Japan.

According to the manufacturer, Infiniti, the new G37 Convertible will be on display at the event ahead of its sale date in September.

Infiniti is a manufacturer of luxury vehicles and its concept car, named Essence, will also be making its UK debut at the festival, four months after it was unveiled in Geneva this year.

"Joining Essence on the Hillclimb - and later in the Sunday Times Supercar paddock - will be the V6-powered G37 Convertible in right-hand drive form, the first example ever produced," explained the car maker.

This will be the first time that the concept car Essence will perform in public, it added.

Both Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton will be appearing at the event, which will take place at the Goodwood Estate in Surrey this July.
