Top four reasons to visit the Goodwood Festival this July
29 June 2009
Some 150,000 motorsport fans will be descending on Goodwood from July 3rd to 5th for the 2009 Festival of Speed.
"The Festival of Speed is firmly established as the world's greatest celebration of automotive culture, with something to offer for every taste," claimed event organisers.
One of the highlights of this year's event includes the attendance of six of the Formula One racing teams and drivers such as Lewis Hamilton, Mark Webber, Timo Glock and Jenson Button.
Another reason to visit the festival is the Forest Rally Stage, which will see World Rally Championship teams race fifty historic rally cars on the challenging track.
Sebastian Loeb and Danni Sordo will be among the drivers appearing at the stage.
For those more interested in supercars, the Sunday Times Supercar Run is a "multi-million pound collection of the world's most desirable contemporary exotica" put to the test on the Hill.
There will also be plenty on offer for the children at the Junior Festival of Speed with live music, a mountain bike stunt team and a gaming zone to entertain all ages.
Entrance to the festival is by advance ticket only, so motorsport-lovers need to get their places booked fast.
The event will take place over three days at the Goodwood estate - home to the Earl of March and his family.
