Goodwood celebrations 'to honour F1 great' Part of the celebrations at the Goodwood 2009 Festival of Speed will honour one of the long-time legends of Formula One (F1) racing.

All the cars and drivers at the event are set to gather in the Goodwood F1 Paddock Assembly Arena on July 5th to honour Sir Frank Williams' 40 years of involvement in Grand Prix events.

Some 13 Williams F1 cars will be on display at the festival, including the 1996 Williams-Renault FW18 and the 1970 De Tomaso-Cosworth Tipo 505.

In addition, ex-Williams team drivers including David Coulthard, Jacques Laffite, Damon Hill and Alan Jones will be on hand to hear Murray Walker pay tribute to Sir Williams during a speech on Sunday.

Billed as one of the world's largest motoring spectacles, Goodwood is set to take place from Friday July 3rd to Sunday July 5th.

Those attending the festival can travel to the site - which is located 60 miles from London - by train, car, rail or bus.

People travelling by train should alight at Chichester, where they can take a bus service from Chichester Bus Station to the festival. This service begins at 08:00 BST each morning.
