World Land Speed Record super sonic car at Goodwood

01 July 2009

World Land Speed Record super sonic car at Goodwood For those who are truly fans of speed, a full-size model of the car that aims to break the 1,000 miles per hour World Land Speed Record - the Bloodhound Super Sonic Car - will be on display at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

True motorsport enthusiasts will be able to get up close to the model whilst the real car continues to be constructed in Bristol.

According to STP, who is the founding sponsor of the World Land Speed Record bid, there will be a "dramatic display" on offer for visitors to the event.

On the Saturday (July 4th) and Sunday, the current World Land Speed record holder Andy Green OBE - and prospective driver for the 1,000 miles per hour attempt - will be appearing to sign autographs.

There will also be other members of the Bloodhound Super Sonic Car team on hand at the festival to answer questions about the attempt.

Also at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2009, which is running from July 3rd to 5th, there will be a 2.5-kilometre "loose-surface" rally area close to the hillclimb finish line entitled the Forest Rally Stage where "thrilling demonstrations" will take place.
