Automotive innovation to be represented at the Festival of Speed

02 July 2009

Automotive innovation to be represented at the Festival of Speed Entertainment at the Goodwood Festival of Speed will not only enthrall petrol heads, but will also have plenty to interest those interested in automotive innovation.

Many of the world's latest electric-powered motorbikes and cars will be taking to the tracks, including the 1.6-mile "legendary" hillclimb.

Among the sophisticated technology taking to the road is the Infiniti Essence, the Rinspeed Project iChange, the Frazer Nash Namir, the Renault Ondelios Concept and the Brabus Tesla Roadster.

Festival-goers will also be able to witness up close the Elektrobay exhibits - whose charging stations already power electric vehicles in London and up and down the UK.

Inside the Fos-TECH Pavilion at the event, the Elektromotive exhibitions will be on display.

All 13 of the festival's concept cars and bikes will be powered by the charging stations.

Famous visitors to the festival at the weekend (June 3rd to 5th) will include Formula One drivers Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button.
