Goodwood is the home of the Duke of Richmond, Lord March, whose seat is nearby Goodwood House. It hosts the annual Glorious Goodwood meeting, which is one of the highlights of the British flat racing calendar, and is home to 2 of the UK's 31 Group One flat races, the Sussex Stakes and the Nassau Stakes.

Goodwood is a uniquely complex racecourse with a straight six furlongs.

The course is used for Flat racing only.

Race goers should be aware that dress codes are strictly enforced and smart casual is not generally acceptable. If you are going to Goodwood you need to look the part. Dress smartly, think smartly and book with Pumpkin Tours, the racing experts.

Offering extensive trackside viewing of the home straight, this value-for-money enclosure features bars and catering facilities. Racegoers are welcome to bring their own picnic (soft drinks only).

Once inside the Racecourse, racegoers may upgrade enclosure by simply paying the difference between the normal prices at the transfer point, except to the Richmond Enclosure during the Festival Meeting. Transfers are subject to availability. It is better to book in advance as there is no price advantage for paying on the day and you may well be disappointed.
