The first Formula 1™ Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix took place in 2009.
Yas Marina and Yas Island are now considered to be one of the most innovative and luxurious motorsport circuits ever built. The first race was won by Sebastian Vettel in a Red Bull.

Situated on Yas Island, just off the coast of Abu Dhabi, Yas Marina Circuit is a short drive from the capital city of the UAE and adjacent to the international airport.
