Turn 8. It is all about Turn 8.
Downhill, in four parts this is the key moment for drivers which make or break their race. Believe it or not Istanbul is rated as the standard by which all new circuits are compared.

Designed by Herman Tilke and opened in 2005, the Turkish F1 has gradually imposed itself in the minds of the Formula 1 race fans. It has not been an easy road for the promoters but finally the message is getting through; Turkey offers great racing, brilliant views and above all amazing value.

The race is 192 miles long and each circuit is 3.317 miles long.
The lap record is held by Montoya and has stood since 2005

OUR HOTEL IN ISTANBUL:

The Antik Hotel Istanbul is refreshingly small, uniquely designed, and superbly located in the Old Town. Named after the late Roman/early Byzantine cistern uncovered in 1984 whilst digging the foundations, this four-star hotel is situated just a five-minute walk from the covered bazaar, a ten-minute walk from the Blue Mosque and fifteen minutes from Topkapi Palace. The hotel's design concept is interesting –each floor of the hotel reflects the different civilizations who have formed the city throughout the ages– the Roman, the Byzantine, the Ottoman and the Istanbul floor.

Each guestroom has been recently refurbished and features a modern contemporary design. A range of exclusive amenities are provided in each and certain rooms offer wonderful views of the Marmara Sea. The restaurant serves Turkish, Ottoman and international cuisine on the terrace, with a unique view of Istanbul and the Marmara Sea. The restaurant is also suitable for business meetings with special meals (banqueting). There's also a very classy bar where you can unwind with a cocktail or your favourite drink and you can shake and stir to music in the cistern, which hosts a nightclub as well as art exhibitions. Finally, for your well-being, you can avail of the sauna as well as massages every day from 14:00 to 21:00.
Location

Within one kilometre of the Antik Hotel Istanbul are:
Beyazit Square, the Grand Bazaar, the Süleymaniye Mosque, and the Kumkapi Taverns District. In addition to this, the Spice Market, St. Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and Topkapi Palace can also be found less than 1 km away.
