Queens Day Amsterdam

Queens Day Amsterdam

If you think you know how to party hard, you are in the right place.

On Queen's Day in Amsterdam up to one million visitors join the 750.000 locals in the world's largest street party and you could be there with our Queens Day Tours. The entire city is filled with revellers, from the Vondelpark to the Jordaan the entire city is devoted to fun.

Queen's Day festivities start around midnight and last throughout the night. Simply walk around in downtown Amsterdam (the Jordaan and Nieuwmarkt areas being among the most popular spots) and you'll find plenty of partying going on. The old brownstone pubs and the new trendy bars have crowds spilling out onto the street as everybody turns into party animals. Even the famous coffee shops are centres of activity. There simply is nothing like it, anywhere. 6:00 AM marks the start of the 'free market' - a citywide street market where the locals sell their bric-a-brac, used clothes, and crafts for next to nothing. You can find almost anything from used underwear to fantastic bargains on musical instruments, electronics, software and everything else under the sun. Throughout the city, professional street performers vie for attention. There are pick-up bands, aspiring opera singers, teenage rappers and street discos. Rio-style drum bands have been very popular the past few years. Huge outdoor concerts are organized at various locations, such as Dam square and Museumplein. Amsterdams 88 beautiful canals are packed as thousands of boats, large and small, filled with party goers clog the city's waterways. The beer flows freely, though mostly in the form of reduced-alcohol event beer, which is served in plastic containers. Don't worry though there are plenty of full strength beers on offer. Honestly it is brilliant! Tours include coach travel from London. Or you can fly or Eurostar - your choice - call us for latest prices on these options

Leave UK from London and head over the sea to lovely Holland.

The party starts from the moment you get off the train or plane.

Once in Amsterdam we take you straight to the hotel

Once at the hotel we take you out for a guided tour for the first night so you can get a feel for the city of dreams.

The next day you are free to party, party, party!

All our guides have their favourite haunts but a top priority is to visit the Drocken And Focken Bar where they make cocktails that taste like an entire restaurant menu. It has been there since the 1700's so it must be good.

The following day we all meet up for a trip along the canals on the Roondvaart boat before heading back into the city. The day starts at the Dam Square and makes its way to the famous Leidseplein.

You can tag along, drop off or re-join the party when ever and where ever you like.

We finally head over to the old part of town for a party at an old brown bar called the Engel Bewaarder (Angel Warden). The food is good and the atmosphere convivial or hezelig as they say in Holland.

Then its back to the camp and away in the morning.

Memories and mistakes are yours to keep.
